Principal Account Executive, Financial Services

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in digital media sales, digital advertising, or digital marketing, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience working with advertisers, agencies, or clients.
  • Experience with video advertising solutions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building trusted-advisor relationships with C-level executives, and managing multiple projects, business leads, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with Google video advertising solutions and understanding of the broader media landscape.
  • Experience in video media, including upfront agreements, media planning, campaign management, creative and measurement.
  • Ability to develop joint business plans in ambiguous environments, influence/collaborate across organizations, and drive business success for the customer and Google.
  • Excellent strategic and tactical thinking skills, systems thinking, with the ability to align strategies to deliver customer business outcomes.

Financial Services is a fast paced industry with a number of subverticals including banking, credit cards, insurance, and investments. The team provides insights, media, creative, and measurement solutions to help clients achieve their business objectives.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $152,000-$228,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Drive video strategy and lead the account team to activate this strategy with clients.
  • Serve as a trusted consultant to stakeholders (both client and agency) on topics relating to consumer insights, creative, media, and measurement.
  • Create relationships with client and agency teams for YouTube and CTV opportunities, and shift share from other video platforms to YouTube and DV360.
  • Develop the role of video within Joint Business Plans, in partnership with key internal stakeholders in support functions.
  • Interface with internal teams to get projects over the line that support growth of YouTube and Video via DV360.
