Product Manufacturing Program Manager, Global Manufacturing Operations

This role requires on-site presence at the contractor manufacturer in Guadalajara three days per week.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience with manufacturing, supply chain management, or fulfillment planning and execution in a new product introduction (NPI) role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in driving process improvement projects from idea to implementation and adoption.
  • Experience in end-to-end Supply Chain Operations.
  • Experience in hardware product supply chain delivery through the entire life-cycle.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and people management skills, with the ability to work across multiple levels including with executive leadership.

The Product Manufacturing and Build Management (PMBM) team is part of the Global Manufacturing Operations (GMO) team. We’re responsible for managing sustaining product manufacturing, product qualifications, and Level 10 material management to support build planning and order attainment at Google’s partners.

As a Product Manufacturing Program Manager, you will focus on optimizing sustaining product delivery, operations, and cost for the machines deployed in Google's Data Centers. Through collaboration with our GMO and partner teams, you will program manage the sourcing of products at global contract manufacturers to enable network resiliency, cost optimization, and scale.

Responsibilities

  • Enable and optimize product on time delivery by actively managing material, capacity, and product specific levers.
  • Manage the sourcing of networking products at global contract manufacturers.
  • Drive mitigation efforts to minimize liability of excess and obsolete inventory caused by demand reductions, platform transitions, and product moves.
  • Scale product capacity, materials and processes and drive improvement of product cost baselines.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing operations and planning teams to identify and drive opportunities to improve product on time delivery.
