  • Experience working in or with internet technologies industries.
  • Knowledge of internet technologies.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team and within ambiguous, constantly-evolving environment.

About the job

The gReach Program is a 12 months paid upskilling program for industry professionals with disabilities where participants will receive on-the-job-training and work on a range of projects. The goal of the gReach program is to provide participants from underrepresented groups with the opportunity to grow their career as professionals.

This role is exclusively for people who have a Japanese government-issued disability certificate.

The Knowledge and Information Partnerships team is looking for a strong associate to support bringing deals and products for Japan. In this role, you will be expected to foster enduring alliances with our top partners, such as merchants, credit card issuers, digital wallet and loyalty providers, to support Google’s Commerce initiatives. You must be a strong contributor who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is able to support and execute strategic partnerships to secure buy-in for key initiatives with the team.

As Strategic Partnership Development Associate, you support your team in relationship building. You grow in a fast-paced environment, and are building a working understanding of internal Google processes, products, and teams. You support your team in deepening relationships with key industry partners, executing agreements, and tracking impact, enabling Google to be successful. You are developing your skills in relationship-building, negotiation, project management, and collaboration, focusing on tasks that contribute to your team's and organization's goals.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Complete tasks within the scope of a standard or low complexity projects.
  • Work in a team, contributing team, and sharing knowledge when relevant to tasks.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of industry/vertical/market with an awareness of when to seek additional support and guidance.
  • Start to develop relationships with partners/suppliers while supporting partner/supplier relationship owners.
  • Contribute or co-own managing partner engagement and relationship by tracking business /technology metrics and insights, building business forecasts, and ensuring strong brand/reputation management, with guidance.
