Technical Program Manager, Enterprise Platform Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience managing software engineering programs end-to-end.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with matrixed leadership roles, leading other program managers through program strategies, project execution, and risk management.
  • Proven ability to run and deliver results on large-scale, complex technical projects and developing strategies to align to business requirements from customers or partner teams.
  • Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, people, and analytical skills.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and quantitative skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Build first-party platforms to address critical user journeys in support and sales functions.
  • Work with engineering teams to plan and prioritize work across multiple teams including partner teams; building roadmaps.
  • Manage complex, cross0functional software engineering programs and projects end-to-end including communicating schedules, priorities, status, and risks to all levels in the company.
  • Play a key role in the advancement of strategy and policy, working with partner teams to launch key features and projects on-time. Identify growth and strategic alignment opportunities with related partner teams and programs.
