About the job

The Carrier team focuses on Google-branded hardware across product categories. Our team is responsible for managing partnerships with our top carriers, including developing channel strategy, negotiating commercial terms, marketing and merchandising, and overall market share goals. We partner cross-functionally with marketing, product & engineering, finance and retail marketing teams internally, and with our carrier counterparts across these disciplines.

Working in the Carrier Partnerships team, as the Associate Partner Manager you will work closely with Strategic Partner Managers to grow our business in the mobile telecommunication space, working on multiple projects across partners externally and supporting the back-end operations of the Sales team internally to ensure timely and smooth execution of those projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for working with new products, managing promotion agreements, and managing sell-out performance. You will partner closely with our Channel Sales Activation & Marketing teams to execute channel marketing and merchandising plans to support the business and work with a cross-functional team of Finance, Operations, Legal, and Demand Planning organizations to ensure partner success in every aspect of the commercial relationship.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple aspects of the business cycle including sell-in, promotional planning, and sell-out. Build relationships with carrier partners to understand and maximize success for both parties.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the consumer hardware market, carrier dynamics, and Google’s hardware strategy.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, finance, legal, and compliance teams to develop and refine our go-to-market strategy and ensure the adequate contracting work is in place with carriers and necessary execution of Google’s obligations to that end.
  • Report key metrics including forecasts, sales, inventory, return on investment analysis, and profitability. Support quarterly business reviews, account planning, and yearly planning.
  • Support the strategic partner manager in the management of the carrier partner account.
