About the job
At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
At Google Cloud, our customers trust us with their critical information. We constantly raise the bar on security by building products that are secure by default. We're looking for a independent, driven Product Manager to be the sole product owner of two related products in the Cloud Security portfolio.
In this role, you will drive the continued success and adoption to bring the fledgling Parameter Manager to fruition. You will work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and advocate a clear product vision both that aligns with customer needs and Google Cloud's strategic goals.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform product strategy. Understand customer needs for storing credentials, API keys, and other sensitive data.
- Create and maintain a prioritized product roadmap, outlining key features, enhancements, and integrations. This includes focusing on compliance, trust, developer experience, and simplicity.
- Make data-driven decisions on feature prioritization, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility. Consider features such as rotation schedules, annotations, and expirations for secrets.
- Drive market adoption by collaborating with sales, CEs and marketing to define target audiences, craft compelling messaging, and align the product roadmap with market demands.
