Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience leading in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with attacks and mitigation methods in cloud and Linux environments.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience leading cloud transformation projects shifting legacy environments to the cloud.
- Experience securing infrastructure in hyperscale environments.
- Experience motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose, creating a compelling vision for the future, communicating clearly, and employing a collaborative leadership approach.
- Experience at the intersection of technology and business, with an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset.
About the job
In this role, you will cover governance and technical leadership on Alphabet's use of cloud, covering how Google products and Google as an enterprise build on top of GCP in a secure and efficient way. You will bridge multiple security domains across Access, Identity, and Platform and address risks across multiple cloud platforms and our traditional production environment. You'll build strategic influence and coordinate across multiple partner teams to set architecture, build consensus, make risk tradeoffs, and represent risks to leadership.

For US Candidates: The US base salary range for this full-time position is $278,000-$399,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities
- Identify problems that span cloud and enterprise environments including platform, identity, and access security domains, and drive tractable solutions.
- Provide subject matter expertise and security leadership in multiple diverse domains in user cloud security, identity, authorization, configuration management, and scalable compute.
- Drive executive and senior technical agreement on security requirements and security vision to secure complex cross-environment controls.
- Establish standards and policies that govern the secure use of cloud and enterprise environments, including both Google and a diverse set of Acquisitions and Bets.
- Provide subject matter expertise in the security of GCP and other cloud environments, and identify where the security offerings within these environments have a mismatch with the needs of the business.
