Cloud Close and Reporting Lead

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with SAP, Reporting and Business Recognition Systems.
  • Experience leveraging tools such as SQL/ Power BI/ Alteryx/Tableau to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Experience in building financial dashboards and visualizing data.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP principles and their application in financial reporting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers, and cross-functional teams while handling various workloads, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, attention to detail, and adapting to changing responsibilities and priorities in an evolving and sometimes ambiguous environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end and quarter-end close processes for Cloud Controllership, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of business and expenses to key stakeholders.
  • Expand and enhance business reporting capabilities to seamlessly integrate and accommodate incremental parts of Google Cloud as the business evolves.
  • Develop insightful financial dashboards and reports that empower business leaders to make data-driven decisions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
