Vendor Strategy Operations, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics, Supply management or Business Management, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in a customer or client-facing role supporting vendor operations, or logistics, or supply management.
  • 7 years of experience working in domestic and international environments managing vendors (i.e., suppliers, manufacturers) or Third-Party Logistics.
  • 5 years of experience managing international operations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in program/project management on cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in dealing with ambiguity, achieving results in a fast-paced environment and continually adapting to changing business needs.
  • Experience managing vendors / stakeholders, and leading complex cross-functional projects and teams.
  • Experience in driving operational strategy, business planning processes and managing budgets.
  • Experience in problem-solving and including modeling, presentation skills, and creating dashboards / managing complex dashboard integration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels including executive leadership team, peers and managers.

About the job

In this role, you will be responsible for building and implementing Vendor Strategy for the Creators’ vendor implementation. You will manage YouTube (YT) vendor operations for unique workflows. You work on YouTube Products to enable support for creators across channels, which is at the heart of the YT business. You have detailed knowledge of our constantly evolving product suite to ensure that user feedback flows to the stakeholders/Product team and fuels innovation. In this cross-functional role, you process suggestions, issues, opportunities and other product/experience information to ensure we are constantly improving the Creator experience.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate vendor portfolio via Scorecards and other business needs.
  • Collaborate with Workforce Management (WFM) to evaluate sites and HeadCount (HC) optimization opportunities. Work with WFM to optimize forecasting and vendor cost modeling. Provide periodic business insights to help WFM assess and lock volume/HC vendor requirements.
  • Work with Procurement to find new vendors and drive Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) for the entire Creators’ team. Help build the team’s HC/Spend trackers, provide analysis and opportunities. Present the executive leadership and help lead Business Planning.
  • Serve as the Launch POC in EMEA for Creators Web Feature Service (wfs). Partnering and presenting to senior management.
  • Evaluate the operation and help design the overall Operation strategy.
