Regional IoT Operations and Cyber Security Specialist

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Controls, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience defining and leading cross country programs in system operations, lifecycle management, and cyber security for an operational technology (OT) or IoT portfolio.
  • Experience balancing OT and smart building engineering (HVAC, lighting, FDD, Waste management, kitchen systems, fitness machines) with applied cyber security principles (network segmentation, encryption, access and identity).
  • Experience in incident response, vulnerability management, and technical risk decisions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in cybersecurity or IoT/smart building technologies.
  • Experience in procurement and vendor management, including negotiating SLAs/SLOs and enforcing third-party contractual performance standards.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to represent the organization internally and externally.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to act as the final approval point for escalated technical, operational or cyber security issues.

Responsibilities

  • Define the regional operational architecture and approach for the extended workforce, transitioning the focus to proactive maintenance to ensure high availability, system reliability, and lifecycle management at scale.
  • Operationalize global Internet of Things (IoT) strategies into regional plans and serve as the regional authority for cyber risk acceptance and compliance deviations, leveraging subdomain expertise to ensure all regional IoT systems remain compliant.
  • Own the regional programs for vulnerability and patch management and drive technical and corrective actions for IoT security incidents, ensuring mitigation within defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for systems including building management, outdoor, food, health, and performance.
  • Lead regional procurement to ensure all IoT systems meet security-by-design and functionality standards, and scale "Smart Building" portfolios using predictive analytics and IoT infrastructure to extend asset lifecycles.
  • Cultivate a data-driven security culture through targeted training.
