Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program management.
  • 7 years of experience in leadership role(s) with/without direct reports.
  • Experience in telecommunications at carrier-class scale, with experience of optical networks, DWDM, IP and data services.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
  • 7 years of supervisory experience.
  • Data analysis experience using SQL, Python on R.
  • Financial analysis and familiarity with accounting terms
  • Ability to properly define metrics and SLO’s that drive proper team behavior and outcomes.
  • Ability to identify, breakdown, and solve ambiguous and complex process and technical problems that span across many teams and organizations.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire an organization of technical program managers with end to end ownership mindset, driving alignment amongst software engineering, network engineering, and partner organizations spanning Technical Infrastructure.
  • Lead innovation and execution of mission-critical projects, working closely with product teams to understand customer requirements around pricing stability and transparency; flex between technical/methodological conversations and narrative-telling presentations at SVP/VP forums.
  • Build metrics and data quality strategy and process so that we can consistently ensure we have the data needed to evaluate the effectiveness of network pricing strategies.
  • Provide oversight of delivery across the complete portfolio of networking pricing initiatives.
  • Navigate unprecedented complexity and ambiguity to sustain operation of the the pricing pipeline in spite of frequent architectural and demand changes.
