Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development and developing large-scale infrastructure, storage or distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with storage technologies/systems.
  • Experience with file systems.
  • Experience in building and maintaining infrastructure software in a distributed environment.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently to partner with local clients and regional partners.

Responsibilities

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code to implement new features and performance improvements in Google Customer Solutions (GCS) clients.
  • Contribute to the team's design process by writing clear and concise technical design documents for the features, outlining proposed approach and implementation details.
  • Work on debugging and resolving customer-reported issues and internal bugs. Trace problems through the client stack and apply robust fixes to improve the customer experience and system stability.
  • Invest in building automated benchmarking for GCS client performance for key customer use cases by running tests, analyzing results, and helping to implement code changes that address performance bottlenecks.
  • Participate in code reviews to both learn from others and help maintain a high standard for code quality across the team.
