Content Strategist, Digital Transformation, gTech Ads

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience working in content, technology, support operations, or related fields

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with stakeholders in Product and Engineering teams with a tech-first mindset, influencing outcomes, and driving measurable results
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, including experience formulating data-driven proposals and communicating success of launched initiatives
  • Knowledge of content principles, user-centered design, and best practices for creating content for diverse audiences
  • Knowledge of Google Ads and related ads products, including familiarity with AI-powered content strategy tools and technologies
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while working with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams and thriving in an often ambiguous environment

gTech Ads is responsible for all support and media and technical services for customers big and small across our entire Ad products stack. We help our customers get the most out of our Ad and Publisher products and guide them when they need help. We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media solutions for customers business and marketing needs and providing complex technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. These solutions range from bespoke and customized ones for our customers to scalable support for millions of customers worldwide. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. As a cross-functional and global team, we ensure our customers get the best return on investment with Google and we remain a trusted partner.

The Digital Transformation team empowers our customers, partners and support agents globally with accurate, comprehensive, discoverable, and easily consumable knowledge on our Advertiser and Merchant solutions across all scaled support surfaces.

Our team of highly skilled Content Strategists support customers’ self-help experience through an array of scalable solutions. Our efforts are rooted in our content and product expertise and our thorough understanding of customers’ complex needs and content strategy best practices.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $106,000-$156,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to define strategy and align on requirements before piloting and scaling content solutions, including AI-powered tools for content creation, optimization, and personalization. 
  • Drive ongoing refreshes of existing content solutions for user issues and customer journeys to support new product launches and optimize content in priority areas.
  • Analyze metrics and customer insights to deliver content strategy recommendations, track key metrics, and report on content ROI.
  • Manage complex project schedules, identifying risks, acting with subject-matter persuasion, and demonstrating a high degree of influence on stakeholders to successfully overcome roadblocks.
  • Remain up-to-date on content best practices through user research and A/B testing to iterate on content guidelines and structure as needed to optimize for a seamless user experience.
