Program Delivery Executive, Public Sector

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in consulting, IT services, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in people management.
  • Experience in leading migration, implementation, or managed services operation of technology services engagements for organizations with IT infrastructure and cloud-native applications development, and leading delivery teams within matrixed environments within an ecosystem of technology partnerships.
  • Security clearance (NV2) or ability obtain clearance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a Management, Technical, or Engineering field.
  • Experience helping customers decide to make investments in new technologies and projects based on expected value and Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Experience leading Public Sector organizations or government clients through a people, process, and technology transformation of building and operating legacy, on-premise software to running full speed as a digital native in the public cloud.
  • Experience with data center migration strategies and collaborating with channel partners and systems integrators.
  • Experience with Australian Government relations.
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud ecosystem.

About the job

As the GDC air-gapped Program Delivery Executive, you will be responsible for directing a complex and multidisciplinary program that successfully delivers GDC to the customer’s requirements and specifications. You will direct the overall GDC program strategy and lead project teams in order to successfully deliver the business, operational, and technical outcomes required of the program.

In this role, you will face complex technical, organisational, product, and customer challenges. You will be able to navigate ambiguity to define and drive cross-functional teams, and you will adjust program strategy to address complex changing circumstances. You'll reconcile priorities and dependencies to maximize the impact of the GDC deployment for the customer, and be expected to identify opportunities for tactical and strategic improvements for both the customer and Google throughout the lifespan of the program.

In addition, you will need to build effective GDC delivery teams within and across Google, it’s Partners and the Customer, establishing best practices within the multidisciplinary team, understanding and addressing their needs throughout their lifecycle of the program. You will be expected to collaborate with teams to communicate changes effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the successful adoption of GDC at the customer across a multi-year program of work.
  • Establish measurable performance metrics and governance across the program.
  • Establish a cadence for program planning, program review, decision making, prioritization, and resource management.
  • Build and nurture trusted relationships with key stakeholders both internally and at the customer, and use those relationships to advocate for mutually-successful program outcomes.
