Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with cross-functional and cross-product area partners.
  • Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable product plans.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and people management skills.

We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

As a Product Manager in the Google Cloud sales compensation and planning team, you will be responsible for defining product strategy, developing a product roadmap and executing the roadmap for seller incentives. As part of our efforts to accelerate business growth, you will need to help align sales incentives to overall Cloud strategic goals. This is typically done through incentives design working closely with the business teams. You'll have the opportunity to work on one of the most transformative trends in the world, enterprises completely transforming their businesses digitally using the cloud. You'll also be responsible for helping design and implement highly effective sales incentives for sellers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy teams to understand strategic priorities. Partner with incentive designers to translate these strategies into clear, measurable, and implementable compensation metrics.
  • Develop the product strategy, roadmap, and platform capabilities that allow compensation designers to rapidly prototype, test, configure, and deploy new, innovative, and simple incentive metrics. Focus on maximizing flexibility and minimizing time-to-market.
  • Own the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of an enterprise-grade product/system that accurately and reliably calculates seller-influenced bookings, business, and other key performance indicators used for compensation.
  • Utilize Google's internal analytics infrastructure and explore Generative AI applications to accelerate the development, testing, and validation lifecycle for new compensation metrics.
  • Be responsible for establishing relationships with many upstream teams and downstream teams. Work closely with business teams on defining GTM plans.
