  • 20 years of UX, design or related industry experience or 18 years with an advanced degree.

The Customer Engagement (CE) team empowers Google to intelligently engage with customers at scale. CE focuses on delivering an ecosystem for Google’s representatives in the sales, support, and marketing organizations to help advertisers throughout their lifecycle with Google. CE has innovated with AI to impact business outcomes, and we measure our success through increased topline business growth and by removing bottomline costs – both for our customers and for Google.

As a Director, you will have the responsibility of leading the UX organization that inspires the outlook to drive business and customer impact towards Google-wide B2B objectives. You will be responsible for the design outlook, strategy, and implementation of the solutions via our organizational positioning between ads and business, vertically integrating with ads technology and AI/ML to provide a cohesive experience.

In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Google’s central Ads User Experience organization and lead a high-functioning and well positioned organization with a successful track record of defining elegant product solutions to enable customer success. You will gain a deep understanding of Google’s business operations, organizational models, AI, and business strategy to develop and manage the entire Ads customer engagement ecosystem.

Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide outlook and direction for the Customer Engagement Ads UX team and lead the engagement with partners and stakeholders across Google. 
  • Drive operational and execution excellence, while leading creative and holistic thinking at scale across product releases, platforms, and devices.
  • Advocate effectively on behalf of the Customer Engagement Ads UX teams and their users, empowering them visibly and behind the scenes.
  • Build relationships and operating rhythms with leaders within Customer Engagement, Ads UX, and the broader Ads organization at Google, to socialize and synthesize experiences that are cohesive, inclusive, and well-informed.
  • Serve as a thought leader to guide and influence the long-term evolution of Customer Engagement and the broader Google Ads ecosystem.
