Strategic Partner Manager, Public Figures, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience working for, or directly with, talent management firms, talent agencies, or creators to build creator businesses on digital platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing relationships with talent agencies and production companies.
  • Experience with project management with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects and solve critical problems through analysis.
  • Ability to align and influence internal and external stakeholders around common goals with executive presence.
  • Ability to analyze data to create insights for external partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trust with external partners while driving solutions to issues.

About the job

As a Strategic Partner Manager for Public Figures on the US Top Creator team, you will source, onboard, and manage a portfolio of public figures (e.g., athletes, celebrities) in order to grow their presence on YouTube. In this role, you will have direct involvement with athletes and celebrities and will support them as they develop their YouTube content strategy.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$204,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Identify, onboard, and manage a strategic portfolio of public figures, acting as a dual advocate to drive platform adoption among talent while representing creator interests within the broader YouTube organization.
  • Develop a content strategy that delivers against their business goals with customized analytical strategies, guiding them to adopt new YouTube formats/features and maximize channel metrics.
  • Understand new features, policies, and platform improvements, as well as negotiate and execute content partnership agreements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams across marketing, PR, and product to find and develop business opportunities, advocate for their needs internally, and advocate for YouTube’s POV with public figures. 
  • Partner with the top creator and gaming teams to identify potential collaborations with creators across the ecosystem; work seamlessly with the third-party ecosystem of talent agents, managers, publicists, producers, and business teams.
