Manager, gTech Risk Security Analytics

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.
  • 3 years of experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD.
  • Experience in partnership with technical and non-technical executive cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the current and evolving landscape of security and insider risk for technology companies.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and stakeholder management skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional, global team environment.
  • Track record of delivering business impact at scale, navigating ambiguity and collaborating with diverse, cross-functional partner teams, including ability to influence diverse audiences and technical partners at all levels of the organization.
  • Passionate about developing teams and providing leadership to both formal and indirect reports.

gTech’s Business and Outsourcing Strategy and Services team (gBOSS) provides consultative services to gTech, the Global Business Organization (GBO), and Google at large, enabling each part of our business by developing innovative, scalable, and compliant solutions that allow gTech to run efficient operations with the best vendor partners at optimal cost while minimizing risk.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a Security Analytics team to scale observability and efficacy of security efforts, translating complex topics to simple and digestible outputs for senior members of gTech.
  • Design and implement functional and operational models to convert abstract ideas and manual processes into automated technical solutions that improve gTech’s ability to scale security services.
  • Establish gTech as an organizational unit that uses authoritative data to make decisions, eliminating the need for churn in understanding disparate data sources, data presentation, and other areas of inconsistency.
  • Collaborate with and manage relationships with partner teams such as Legal, Engineering, Product, Security, and Privacy to achieve shared objectives, provide strategic insight, and lead continuous improvement efforts in information security, risk quantification, and tool and access controls.
