Photography and Quality Expert, Creative Camera

Remote location: India.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience working with a team of engineers or researchers developing camera software serving as an image quality expert.
  • Experience in photography, image processing and editing

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to educate and communicate photography concepts.
  • Ability to perform visual ideation and learn technical concepts of imaging processing pipelines.
  • Excellent aesthetic judgment, including photographic composition, lighting, Auto White Balance (AWB) and exposure skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

About the job

In this role, you will build the future of photography and videography. You will reinvent digital imagery from new algorithms for creating the highest-quality images and videos possible on mobile devices to creating entirely new ways of capturing and reliving our experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide qualitative and quantitative feedback on tuning and algorithmic changes that affect image quality.
  • Collect diverse training data and photos for generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) models, and algorithms, curate diverse datasets and evaluation sets for software development.
  • Evaluate real-time effects to improve features and find bugs to avoid negative brand impact/reviews.
  • Identify emerging trends and gaps between casual smartphone and professional photography and help define product opportunities.
  • Make complex decisions on matters and participate in User Experience (UX) discussions on new features.
