About the job

In this role, you will work on Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools that help creators express themselves. You will remove creative roadblocks and unlock new ways to tell stories, while ensuring creator autonomy and flexibility. Generative experiences will be fun, surprising, and rewarding helping creators not only save time and reduce difficult tasks, but most importantly support creators in bringing their ideas to life.

Google's work is integral to the success of YouTube’s major consumer experiences including YouTube Shorts creation and editing, YouTube Live Streaming, YouTube Stories and Posts and YouTube’s Create project. You will partner with the Emerging Experiences and Community Team (EMCO). EMCO’s mission is to empower both our viewers and creators to engage more deeply with one another, building and fostering communities.

You will be responsible for defining the future of creation with generative AI. You will work with some of the most cutting edge technical developments happening today (e.g. generative AI, on-device real-time models) across all modalities (vision, audio, language) and work with very innovative product teams building some of Google’s most rapidly growing and loved products like YouTube Shorts, YouTube Create, Stories and Post and help develop entirely new ways for people to produce amazing content. You will work on foundational elements of product inclusion such as lowering the technical and financial barriers to creating professional looking content by finding post-capture technologies that can enable the production of high quality content on low end devices by passionate storytellers.

At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. We work together to give everyone the power to share their story, explore what they love, and connect with one another in the process. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and boundless creativity, we move at the speed of culture with a shared goal to show people the world. We explore new ideas, solve real problems, and have fun — and we do it all together.
