Strategy and Operations Associate, Go-to-Market (English, Portuguese)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital or private equity role, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience with data extraction and analysis, using spreadsheet software, SQL, or similar tools.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Portuguese fluently to engage with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in sales, marketing, business development or consulting.
  • Experience in structuring and implementing initiatives with sales teams.
  • Ability to design, develop and execute on project plans, interfacing with a range of stakeholders in GTM, LCS and cross-functionally.
  • Ability to solve problems connecting data from different sources and identifying insights.
  • Ability to structure and communicate (i.e., develop presentations and communicating to business leadership) insights to support business decision making.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GTM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy and ensuring flawless execution and operations against that strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are strategic and have a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The Business Strategy and Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Support long-term strategic efforts for Large Customer Sales business in Brazil, such as portfolio management and annual planning (e.g., provide insights to guide definition of key growth levers).
  • Support sales operations of the Large Customer Sales business, including data analysis and reporting (e.g., Pipeline, Meetings and Budgets, operational accuracy).
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on sales activation, business improvement areas and achieving business objectives by conducting strategic assessments of business options, processes and metrics.
  • Drive the external perspective for our business, understanding market dynamics and key participants (i.e., market intelligence). Devise recommendations for Sales Leaders based on key insights.
  • Work cross-functionally to execute against the largest identified opportunities (e.g., Marketing, Performance Pod).
