Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with front-end and user interface development.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript).
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience building and debugging complex web applications.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience with React.js or other modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, Vue.js).
  • Experience in developing accessible technologies, in order to ensure that the products are usable by everyone.
  • Experience with rich media applications, video processing, or computer graphics.
  • Ability to demonstrate projects showcasing impactful front-end contributions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop and launch impactful user-facing features for Google Flow, focus on intuitive design and exceptional performance.
  • Implement complex front-end solutions for in-browser video editing, real-time feedback, and interaction with generative AI models.
  • Collaborate with product, UX, and backend teams to translate user needs and creative goals into technical specifications and seamless experiences.
  • Contribute to the architectural design and technical direction of the React.js-based frontend, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
  • Iterate rapidly on prototypes and production code, balancing speed of innovation with the delivery of robust and reliable features for a growing user base.
