Managing Director, India Partnerships Solutions

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative/business-oriented field or equivalent practical experience
  • 20 years of experience within one or more of the following fields: Sales, Business Development, Strategic Alliance, Strategy Consulting, Venture Investment, or Corporate Strategy Leadership
  • Experience leading operational projects

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in orchestrating and maintaining strong industry KOF relationships
  • Senior commercial/agreement experience in business development or client service
  • Experience identifying transformative opportunities, creating plans, and influencing and managing senior stakeholders including ability to build effective relationships, internally and externally, that result in innovative approaches or wide ecosystem impact
  • Knowledge of the partner ecosystem in India, and familiarity with the India regulatory and VC ecosystem

APAC Partnerships Solutions is one of three regional Partnerships Solutions teams, along with our EMEA and Americas organizations. APAC Partnerships Solutions plays a key role shaping Google’s response to key partner, policy and reputational issues in Asia Pacific.

Within Global Partnerships, the Partnerships Solutions teams focus on bringing the best of Google to our more complex and strategic partners and industry stakeholders in a coordinated way. We help teams across Google build transformational cross-Google partnerships in key industries that deliver value to users, partners, ecosystems and Google. We deploy a holistic cross-Product Area AI go-to-market (GTM) partner engagement strategy to cultivate and deepen AI commercial relationships with Google’s important partners in close collaboration with senior leaders and executive offices across the organization. We build allyship and mitigate risk by cultivating allies on public policy, ecosystem, and reputational issues. We understand the industry sectors we work in deeply and help shape Google’s policy and product strategies and solutions in response to the needs of the partner ecosystems we work with. We deliver on our mission by enabling and driving coordination across different product areas and functions, providing deep partner and industry perspectives, and entertaining bespoke partner relationships.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high performing team full-time employees across multiple Google offices in India. 
  • Work with sales and Business Development teams to accelerate the development of transformational cross-Google partnerships across a book of India Priority and Startup Ecosystems partners. Manage the team of cross-Google Partner Managers who provide day-to-day partner coordination, provide advice developing impactful cross-Google partner engagement strategies, and lean in personally in support of leaders (e.g., Priority Partner Executive Sponsors) to unlock cross-Google opportunities.
  • Lead the development and activation of India-specific industry and allyship strategies in response to the India regulatory environment. Work with local customer facing and cross-functional teams to develop aligned playbooks/engagement strategies specific to the India context.
