Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in advertising, marketing technology, management consulting, or product management.
  • 2 years of experience managing individuals and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience leading operational initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in mobile gaming advertising and user acquisition.
  • Experience driving strategies and winning market share in highly contested verticals.
  • Experience with the technical nuances of mini-game ecosystems (e.g., HTML5, social platforms).
  • Experience working in China or Southeast Asia.
  • Ability to navigate large, matrixed organizations and influence counterparts in Sales, Product, and Engineering.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with the focus on long-term goals.

About the job

As the Head of Global Gaming App Ads GTM, you will lead a high-performing team to drive the global sales strategy and commercialization of gaming-specific ad products and formats. This includes scaling current solutions and pioneering the GTM for new cross-platform formats and mini-game integrations. You will partner with Product Managers, Engineering, Marketing, gTech, GTM, and Global Product Solutions (GPS) to ensure our roadmap maximizes value for developers and studios while staying ahead of industry shifts.

In this role, you will be responsible for the Gaming Compete framework, analyzing the landscape to refine our positioning and vertical activation strategies. You will manage a global team of experts, collaborating with in-region partners to translate global product goals into local success. You will navigate the complexities of the gaming ecosystem, from mobile-first apps to cross-platform titles, aligning global teams on a unified commercial priority.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000-$267,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a high-performing team of Individual Contributors, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence to meet global business goals.
  • Lead the development and execution of the global GTM strategy for Gaming App Ads, focusing on commercialization and vertical activation.
  • Drive the strategy for roadmap expansion into mini-games and cross-platform gaming formats, Creator Partnerships on YouTube and ensuring our ad products are fit-for-purpose in a multi-device world.
  • Oversee the engaged intelligence and response strategy to maintain and grow market share against key industry players.
  • Facilitate VP-level conversations and represent Gaming Ads business in large forums and industry events. Align Sales, Sellside, Marketing, and Product leads to set business goals and ensure seamless product delivery.
