About the job

Google's leadership team hand-picks thorny business challenges, and members of BizOps work in small teams to find solutions. As part of this team you fully immerse yourself in data collection, draw insight from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations. Taking strategy one step further, you also persuasively communicate your recommendations to senior-level executives, roll-up your sleeves to help drive implementation and check back-in to see the impact of your recommendations.

In this role on the Search Analytics team, you'll work on a team tasked with forecasting Google Search usage and monitoring performance to surface the implications of performance trends with Search leadership.

We believe a ‘humans in the loop’ approach is paramount to strategic forecasting: combining time series methods with a deep knowledge of Search to capture what we expect of its future growth.

You will partner closely with Product Data Scientists and analytics teams across and outside of forecast, to identify the most important insights and drivers of our core business. You will bring together statistical forecasting and analysis of our data, deep intuition for our business, and consideration of emerging and external factors - all in service of developing the most informed view of what is driving our business and what that portends for our long term outlook.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Learn more about benefits at Google.

  • Serve as a mentor to others on the team in terms of forecasting and reporting, providing support and coaching others when needed.
  • Support the development of analytical tools and processes in service of forecasting and executive insights.
