Head of EMEA Customer Engineering Strategy and Operations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in building and managing teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Cloud and Enterprise IT.
  • Experience managing executive stakeholders in a trusted advisor role, with the ability to distill complex insights into executive narrative, working with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Track record of high productivity and meeting deadlines, with the ability to take responsibility.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments with time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to be autonomous, flexible and accustomed to high-growth, in ambiguous situations, motivated to learn, and comfortable working in a team of professionals.
  • Excellent storylining and communication skills, with the ability to craft a compelling narrative including presentation structure and design.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

As the Head of Customer Engineering Strategy and Operations in EMEA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic direction of the Customer Engineering organization. Collaborating closely with the EMEA Customer Engineering (CE) leadership team, you will act as trusted advisor for the Vice President of CE in EMEA, driving the business forward through effective planning, development and execution of high-growth strategies. You will also be a member of the EMEA Strategy and Operations leadership team, and lead a team of four direct reports who are responsible for driving strategy and operations within their respective domains.

In this role, you will solve problems, working with data and finding solutions to help the greater team succeed. You are a natural collaborator, able to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure alignment of efforts towards the company’s strategic goals. You have an appetite for in depth insights to help shape strategy and plans. You have a coaching mindset, not afraid to challenge the status quo. You will build strong relationships with counterparts and key stakeholders at different levels and in different teams, help them land ambitious plans, and be a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the business leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the organization's strategic direction, encompassing organizational design, growth initiatives, business plans, and objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Lead development and execution of initiatives aimed at accelerating growth, enhancing efficiencies, and scaling the business.
  • Define and optimize the way we work, through operational cadence, content of reviews, improvement initiatives and metrics, insights, and reporting.
  • Oversee key business processes, including business reviews and planning, while fostering collaboration and the sharing of best practices within the region, cross-functionally, and globally. Measure progress against goals and develop and implement plans to bridge gaps as well as facilitate management decisions.
  • Cultivate a high-performing team culture, providing guidance, coaching, mentorship, and growth opportunities for your team and across the Strategy and Operations team.
