Minimum qualifications:

- 15 years of experience in product management, including providing roadmaps and directing product launches through to writing PRDs and MRDs
Preferred qualifications:

- Ability to deliver wireless consumer electronic products on time
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively

About the job
As Director of Product Management for Wearable Software, you will be responsible for setting a compelling strategy and vision for the wearable smart watch software roadmap. This role requires a leader that obsesses over the consumer experience, understands how the software works to meet consumer needs - from the silicon to the user experience - and can guide product and UX teams to consistently land uncompromising quality on hardware timescales - meaning quality, schedule and committed critical features are always delivered without question.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $282,000-$392,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior product leaders across product areas to align their respective software roadmaps with the wearable smart watch software roadmap and close priority and resource gaps where necessary.
- Drive day-to-day execution of the wearable software to on time, high-quality landings.
- Nurture a culture of continuous learning founded in customer truth starting with UXR, iterative user centric design, and development and quantitative analysis ensuring the team meets the needs identified as well as development of senior product management leadership.
- Work with the Wear OS platform team to drive continuous improvements in quality, accuracy, performance and power.
- Envision, inspire and manifest into reality next generation helpful experiences that leverage the best of Google’s current and future agentic AI capabilities.
