Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Go or Java), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 1 year of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience building or maintaining high-throughput services, or low-latency systems.
- Experience programming in C++.

As a Software Engineer in this team, you will contribute to the growth of the YouTube Ads business by generating large business for Google, keeping the YouTube ecosystem growing by creator monetization, showing relevant ads to YouTube users and expanding advertiser base by delivering value to millions of advertisers.

We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.Responsibilities
- Contribute towards the development of maintainable YouTube Ads infrastructure systems to support business growth.
- Write maintainable and tested code.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, and testability).
- Partner with other software engineers within the team to contribute towards our goals and scaling the system to support growth.
