Head of Data Analytics Practice, Google Cloud Consulting

Minimum qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience building a technical support team in a technology, technology services, SaaS or cloud business.
  • 10 years of experience with distributed compute environments, software development, big data analytics, cloud computing including virtualization, hosted services, multi tenant cloud infrastructures, storage systems or content delivery networks.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with channel partners, systems integrators and third-party developers to deliver successful solutions.
  • Experience in leading global or distributed teams, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
  • Experience in reading software code in one or more language such as Java, JavaScript, Python.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team and grow in an evolving and ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation writing and delivery.

Google Cloud teams work with schools, companies, and government agencies to make them more productive, mobile and collaborative. You will oversee all aspects of the Google Cloud sales process, improving it with your insightful data analysis, troubleshooting, and seamless cross-functional teamwork. Your strategies ensure that companies new to Google products get the highest quality customer support and that the Google Cloud program overall is kept on the cutting edge.

As the Head of Data Analytics Practice, you will be responsible for overall delivery success and subjective improvement of the data analytics service delivery operations. This includes technical implementation services, provided directly by Google Cloud professionals, as well as indirect services provided through Google Cloud’s network of strategic partners (e.g., Global System Integrators and other Information Technology services providers in the partner ecosystem).

You will engage and partner closely with the counterpart delivery leaders and executives of the different Global System Integrators (GSI) partners of Google Cloud in an operating model that ensures success for all stakeholders, the end customer, the GSI partner and Google Cloud.

You will work closely with the Cloud Customer Experience leaders in the region. You will work on transformative Information Technology (IT) services operations delivery, project leadership, and program management skills to institute and then deliver on a partnership delivery model that results in customer success, strengthened relationship and position with the accounts, and further expansion of the business with Google Cloud customers.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate the strategy and development agenda (e.g., roadmap or program) that strengthens and innovates Google Cloud’s capability to lead and implement cloud migrations and digital transformation projects for customer organizations.
  • Establish and manage tandem with peer leaders in the cloud customer experience organization, a performance management system that systematically governs the overall service delivery operation in the region, including the expedient escalation and resolution of issues.
  • Work with customer technical leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver implementations of cloud solutions, becoming a trusted advisor to decision makers throughout the engagement.
  • Partner closely with governing performance of the various Global System Integrators (GSIs) and other IT service firms who are working on cloud implementation engagements.
