Senior Financial Analyst

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with building data infrastructure (e.g., designing architecture, building data pipelines, implementing scalable monitoring) and implementing reporting solutions.
  • Experience in developing strategies in engaged environments with business judgment for resource allocation decisions to achieve the business outcome.
  • Experience in Leadership with operational initiatives, across multiple products, functions, and geographies.
  • Ability to work with data to produce analysis, influencing decision making with numerical analysis and generating insights.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with a wide variety of departments.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

As a Financial Analyst within the Google SEAS Business Finance team, you will be at the forefront of building our advertising sales strategy. You will be a critical partner to the advertising sales organisation, designing and developing solutions to problems that often don't have clear answers. You will possess the relationships, both inside and outside the Finance organizations and regularly make recommendations to executive leadership and cross-function leaders.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Provide management with clear insights and recommendations into the business, market trends, risks and opportunities leading to business enhancement and sales actions.
  • Lead and drive delivery on multiple projects, including financial analyses and business planning to identify growth drivers to influence business activity.
  • Own relationships with executive business stakeholders, collaborating with cross-functional teams to structure and execute business initiatives to provide performance and problem-solving insights.
  • Possess broad expertise of the Business Finance areas and processes, and regularly make recommendations to executive leadership and cross-function leaders on current and future processes.
  • Engage in community contributions to improve and sustain our culture and operations making Google a better place to work.
