Site Program Manager, Googler Experience, People Operations (English, French)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management, or managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with developing end-to-end programs and scaling them.
  • Experience partnering with and influence executive leaders (VPs and Directors) and cross-functional partners to deliver results.
  • Ability to communicate in English and a French language fluently, to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to solve open-ended problems by assessing and deciding how to invest time and resources in the most efficient manner in order to meet goals and deadlines for program activities.
  • Ability to influence and inspire followership across all levels of the organization.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Site Program Managers connect Googlers to our mission, culture and each other by scaling relevant programs for Googlers in our sites.

As a member of the Canada HR Team, you will be responsible for driving site strategies, managing site governance and operations, and creating community through engaging site programs. In addition to being organized and analytical, you will have the business judgment and communication skills needed to interact with an executive site leadership team and a variety of cross-functional stakeholders, partners and job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Canada Head of HR and Montreal Site Leaders, providing guidance on site strategies, operations, and governance.
  • Initiate and execute mission-driven programs to address site issues, defining clear end-to-end processes for ambiguous initiatives involving cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Establish key metrics to measure program impact, especially for intangibles, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions and track progress toward goals.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to cross-functional teams, ensuring site programs align with business objectives, culture, and people strategies.
  • Influence various teams toward common objectives, negotiating with decision-makers to ensure program timelines are feasible and goals are met by leveraging company-wide best practices.
