- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in security compliance, audit, risk management, and assurance/testing, including both internal and external audits.
- Experience with systems like APIs, databases, and cloud environments.
- Experience with regulatory settlements or consent decrees and multi-jurisdictional controls within global technology companies.
- Ability to analyze fragmented inputs, bring clarity to ambiguous situations, and synthesize key attributes to develop balanced recommendations.
- Ability to conduct control audits, process assessments, or technical risk reviews.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence decision-making across cross-functional teams.

The Risk, Compliance and Integrity organization (RCI) brings together critical compliance, assurance, risk and governance functions across Google to help the company meet compliance needs and enable businesses to innovate. The team's goal is to make compliance a competitive advantage for Google by driving scaled, data-driven, and policy-based compliance programs. The team will manage operations through risk-based prioritization and governance and consistent and constructive regulator engagement.
In this role, you will lead ongoing oversight and programmatic compliance efforts related to security compliance commitments. You will ensure that the company maintains oversight, governance, and meets all legal and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Regulatory Affairs, Internal Audit, Legal, Privacy, Safety and Security, and other impacted product areas.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $158,000-$235,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Lead and execute assurance programs for high-risk domains, from planning and execution to reporting and continuous optimization.
- Oversee and support controls testing and monitoring to assess compliance, while also conducting thorough risk assessments to identify and report potential risks.
- Identify, document, and manage the remediation of control deficiencies, issues, and broader risk exposures.
- Partner strategically with teams across Global Affairs, product areas, and other functions to ensure a comprehensive approach to compliance.
- Prepare and deliver impactful presentations on assurance-related activities to both internal and external stakeholders and key executives.
