Cloud Finance Optimization Operations Analyst

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, or project management from a public accounting firm or multi-national company.
  • Experience supporting or leading cross-functional projects and identifying process improvements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certifications.
  • Experience leading complex process improvement projects.
  • SAP/S4 HANA transformation experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of ERP systems (such as Oracle, SAP, S4 Hana) standard Source-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Financials & Payroll business processes.
  • Data Analysis skills, experience applying statistical methods, SQL, dashboard design.
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

In this role, you will provide assurance to leadership that our information and processes are effective, with high coverage, accurate and reliable outputs, and low error rates. You will subject activities to regular scrutiny, testing for control gaps and improving them to ensure their sufficiency in conforming to policy requirements and performance obligations. You will modernize the workflows that have served us well but have fallen behind, designing and implementing new system and platform requirements that create clear ownership, appropriate separations of duty, and transparent authorization of transactions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $107,000-$153,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Cloud business functions to understand manual and automated transaction flows. Develop and maintain detailed process maps of Cloud Lead to Report.
  • Develop desktop procedures and manage day to day interactions with offshore teams working on Cloud and Finance projects.
  • Support internal and external testing of in-scope processes and controls to ensure adherence to Alphabet standards and timely remediation of observations.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management, summarizing findings from process improvement activities and vendor activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline Cloud Lead to Order processes and reduce manual work.
