Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
- 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
- Experience with the domain area of Generative AI or Large Language Models.
- Experience with ranking recommendation, content retrieval systems, search, or machine learning model development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
- 7 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
- 7 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
- 5 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
- 5 years of experience in software development or engineering.
- Knowledge of, or continued interest in building accessibility best practices, and experience/curiosity for incorporating accessibility into product development methodologies.

In this role, you will help users explore through visual discovery. Building on the foundation of Google Images, you will work to evolve beyond traditional search to serve the next generation of users
You will own the product strategy for results quality in Google Image Search. You will build new experiences for visual inspiration journeys and shape how users find inspiration online
You will leverage AI and LLMs to create a more fluid, personalized, and assistive experience for Google Images.

Responsibilities
- Own and articulate a goal to define a high-quality, inspiring, and trustworthy search experience. .
- Transform user modeling and personalization approaches to deliver tailored visual experiences.
- Guide the team to develop an understanding of the ranking architecture, ML models, and underlying quality systems (both heuristic and ML-based) to make informed decisions and drive innovation.
- Establish clear metrics and robust evaluation frameworks to assess search quality. Oversee the development and execution of evaluation methodologies, using both traditional and LLM-based techniques, to guide the team through complex trade-offs.
- Collaborate closely and strategically with partner teams across Google to ensure cohesive user experiences, leverage shared technologies, and align roadmaps.
