Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience interfacing directly with labels, artists, managers, or digital platforms.
- Experience working cross-functionally with business and technical teams.
- Experience executing digital music content licensing agreements.
Preferred qualifications:
- 3 years of experience interfacing directly with labels, artists, managers, or digital platforms.
- Understanding of the music and video industries including the indie label landscape, music licensing, key Internet and digital media trends.
- Ability to cultivate expertise in analytics, basic modeling and formal corporate presentations.
- Ability to analyze data, coordinate internal events, and speak to partners.
- Ability to drive new partnerships, promote new business opportunities to existing partners, and ensure prompt and proper resolution of business issues raised by partners.
- Excellent communication (including presentation writing and delivery) and problem-solving skills.

The YouTube Product Partnerships team drives the partner strategy and manages key relationships that help to make YouTube’s products more universally accessible and useful. We own the business side of new products and initiatives, and our strategic partnerships seek to build, distribute, grow, and protect YouTube’s products globally. We know how to assess partnership opportunities in any situation, define a strategy, and work closely within our team, and with Product, Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive critical partnerships that help evolve our business.Responsibilities
- Execute on contractual work surrounding music content licensing agreements.
- Provide strategic and operational support for music labels on the YouTube platform.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of indie record labels, driving strategic initiatives, platform optimization and best practices, and bolstering engagement and product activation.
- Work cross-functionally (Business Development, Partnerships, Global Scaled Services, Sales, Product Solutions, Marketing, PR and Product) to develop and drive partner-related business processes, including escalation of strategic issues. Update internally or externally on product, operational, and account changes consistently and collect feedback for internal stakeholders.
- Identify long-term mutual business growth opportunities for partner accounts and drive those opportunities internally and externally.
