Partner Strategy Lead, Global Media, Sports Partnerships, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategy roles, at a media company, sports league, management consulting firm, or technology company.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience building executive presentations and managing multiple end-to-end projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree.
  • Experience working autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities in the media landscape and proactively find solutions to activate strategic partners.
  • Excellent business acumen and influencing skills.

About the job

The responsibility of the YouTube Media and Sports Partner Strategy Lead is to serve as the orchestrator of how the YouTube Media and Sports Partnerships teams represent our company outlook to strategic partners, with the goal of activating these partners on YouTube and growing their presence on the platform. Specifically, you will serve as an architect of how YouTube shows up, ensuring a ‘one YouTube’ message across teams, a fresh pulse on YouTube’s position in the market, and a clear articulation of how best to activate and accelerate partner success.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting internal alignment that effectively unlocks necessary capabilities and information to generate compelling strategic narratives.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$161,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build executive-level external presentations that elevate YouTube’s presence with global media and sports partners, in close collaboration with executive leadership.
  • Develop and maintain templates and processes for partner-facing collateral (e.g., quarterly business reviews, joint business plans, partner playbooks).
  • Drive the preparation for key external executive engagements in partnership with internal teams.
  • Enable the infrastructure and data support needed to articulate our external positioning and priorities in a compelling data-driven way.
  • Advocate on behalf of partners with YouTube’s internal stakeholders.
