Field Sales Manager, Army, Google Public Sector

This position requires that you currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to upgrade to Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance. The position further requires the applicants will obtain a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform GPS work. Failure to maintain (or obtain, if applicable) the appropriate U.S. Government clearance or customer screening requirements that results in the employee unable to perform the requirements of the role, may result in employment action up to and including termination.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a quota-carrying role selling to the department of defense customers.
  • 6 years of experience leading and managing a sales team.
  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance with Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience promoting cloud computing technologies to large and complex government organizations across geographies.
  • Experience with large, complex commercial and legal agreements, working with procurement, legal, and business teams.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and import and export talent and ideas to achieve a broader organizational goal.
  • Ability to present analyses and break down technical concepts into simple terms to present to diverse, technical, and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to influence decisions at the executive level.

As a Field Sales Manager (FSM), you will manage a team of Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) who promote to our new and existing accounts. You will leverage existing relationships with C-level executives, develop new relationships, and act as a trusted business partner to understand their unique company issues and goals. You will participate actively in all aspects of building the business, including attainment of assigned strategic objectives, business planning, demand generation, account engagement, and acquisition/account-based marketing activities. You will advocate the innovative power of our products to make organizations more productive, collaborative, and mobile.

In this role, you will lead the Army and Fourth Estate team for the National Security and Defense Vertical. You will be responsible for the Go-To-Market strategy for both the Army and the Fourth Estate with a primary focus on pipeline development and achieving quarterly and annual sales goals.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement Go-To-Market propositions in the Army territory. Work with Marketing, Demand Management, Solutions, and Product and Engineering teams to produce a focused proposition.
  • Build and maintain relationships to influence long-term strategic direction and act as an advisor to the customer.
  • Work with wider Google Account teams to develop and drive pipelines, and provide guidance. Work with Google Cloud Platform Partners to develop campaigns.
  • Collaborate with sales engineering and marketing resources to provide input on current collateral materials and ideas on how to improve them to optimize Google Cloud Platform in a given team. Work towards strategic business goals.
  • Build a pipeline of customers within selected accounts.
