Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or an analytical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in a Sales role or equivalent experience in a customer facing technical/engineering or consulting role.
- Experience working in the Italy market.
- Ability to communicate in Italian and English fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in Italian with local stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Sales management experience in technology, advertising, or internet. General management experience and experience growing a market.
- Experience in influencing and building effective relationships at the executive decision-making level (e.g. C-level) cross-functionally in a complex matrixed, multinational organization.
- Ability to be an effective coach of senior talents and peers in a multicultural environment. Ability to investigate performance, develop actionable insights, and galvanize action to capture opportunities.
- Strategic and commercial acumen, and the ability to develop and deliver a business strategy that is dynamic balancing short-term delivery with long-term sustainable success.
About the job
As a Director, you will lead a sales team to ensure that our customers in the market are getting the best of Google Ads and AI to help them achieve their ambitious goals. You will lead the team to engage with a wide variety of existing advertising companies of all sizes to find the optimal advertising solution for each client. You will build a passionate sales team that is able to show the return on investment our customers get from our solutions. You will grow the sales capabilities of your sales team to help each member to fulfill their personal potential. You will create and enhance a values based culture of respect and high performance selling while role modeling these behaviors and skills.
In this role, you will regularly represent Google in the Italian market with C-Level customer and partner organizations and with other key influencers as a thought leader in the advertising and marketing industry. In addition, you will sit on the leadership team for Southern Europe GCS and as such be a key influencer and operator of that wider business. In short, you will be a senior sales leader that earns the admiration of your team, our customers, and the industry by driving results and hitting sales goals.

- Motivate, coach, and develop your sales team to high performance prioritizing hitting key metrics and delivery of results.
- Create a culture of consistent high performance, ensuring respect remain at the heart of the team’s culture and norms.
- Invest in developing a coaching culture where managers provide the necessary guidance to help sellers achieve their full potential.
- Run a highly efficient and effective sales team using data to support key decisions and repeatedly look for improvements.
- Develop and execute a people strategy which will ensure a current and future bench of talent to execute for growth.
