Program Manger, Environmental and Electrical Compliance

  • Experience with EUDR, CBAM, Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS), REACH, SCIP, TSCA, Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), Circularity or other environmental regulatory regimes.
  • Experience with EMC, Safety, Homologation and enabling environmental data collection systems.
  • Ability to make decisions separately.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

In this role, you will shape Google Cloud’s framework supporting a sustainable, electrical and environmental Regulatory Compliance program. You will evaluate, test, certify, register, reuse and recycle portfolio of products globally.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure hardware alignment with Google-wide Sustainability, Environmental, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), and Safety benchmarks.
  • Guide environmental data campaigns with manufacturers and suppliers to secure Full Material Disclosures (FMD) and ensure compliance with European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), Substances of Concern In Products (SCIP), Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), and Conflict Minerals regulations.
  • Identify international regulatory requirements for Sustainability, Safety, EMC, and Telecommunications to maintain global market access.
  • Strategize with suppliers and agencies to manage all compliance documentation. Oversee homologation applications and renewal processes for global product transactions.
  • Conduct compliance verification during Request for Information (RFI) stages to communicate requirements upfront; collaborate with Legal and Finance to manage Statements of Work (SoWs), Purchase Orders, and Powers of Attorney (PoAs).
