Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Architect or Sales Engineer).
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions with local stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in a Computational Science or Life Sciences field.
- Experience in delivering technical presentations while leading detailed discovery and planning sessions that are aligned jointly with the customer with defined scope and success criteria.
- Experience in Lifesciences industry (e.g., genomics, imaging, preclinical data).
- Understanding of the potential of our products to transform scientific research and development.
- Ability to build and grow initiatives, drive new projects, and navigate ambiguity.

In this role, you will partner with sales teams to help APAC's leading organizations accelerate their research and innovation on Google Cloud. You will architect and demonstrate solutions for their complex scientific issues, performing analyses into their HPC infrastructure, workflows, and data pipelines. You will be crucial in establishing Google Cloud as the premier platform for scientific computing. You will also collaborate closely with teams across Google, including Health, Research, and DeepMind, to bring their capabilities to our customers. You will also play a key role in understanding the needs of our customers and help shape the future of customers of all sizes while closely working with customers, employees and partners.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. - Partner with Google Cloud Sales teams as the primary technical expert for life sciences customers, for those focused on areas such as genomics and drug discovery.
- Identify key trends, map the market, opportunities, customers, and create overall technical go-to-market approach, working with different cross-functional teams.
- Architect and develop technical assets, craft business narratives, and create reference architectures that showcase the transformative potential of our products on Google Cloud for Lifesciences.
- Understand customer's scientific and business objectives, technical infrastructure, and application workloads in the context of life sciences (e.g. drug discovery research and development, genomics, computational biology).
- Identify and establish relationships with key life sciences thought leaders and technical experts across APAC, as well as within relevant Google Cloud product areas, fostering effective internal and external network.
