Workplace Services Manager (Korean, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in facility management and service, with an emphasis on facilities, hospitality, corporate services, property management or equivalent office management experience within a organization.
  • Experience developing and managing budget, including capital budget.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 20% of the time as required.
  • Ability to communicate in Korean and English fluently to conduct necessary business interaction in Korean and English.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating with other business units to meet company goals and standards.
  • Ability to manage resources and projects involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, and staff, tight timelines, important organizational implications, and changing circumstances.
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to comfortably engage and present in meetings.

Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) mission is to create places, services, and experiences that enable Google to grow. The Workplace Services team brings our spaces to life as you oversee the daily operations of our offices.

As a Workplace Services Manager, you will design, implement, and manage workplace services, ensuring excellent user experiences. You will constantly seek to improve efficiency and innovate, driven by user satisfaction. You will ensure smooth, efficient operations and user satisfaction. Growing in a fast-paced environment, you will bring enthusiasm, creativity, dedication, and collaboration to create office spaces that foster innovation. You will manage workplace services/facilities operations, collaborating with REWS and cross-functional teams (real estate, security, safety, food) to enhance the Googler environment.

The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google’s culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work -- from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering environments where Google and our employees can thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Korea's workplace services, including new office builds, expansions, optimization, space planning, and process implementation, adapting to a dynamic environment.
  • Deliver excellent customer service for workplace services, understand Googler needs, provide solutions, and influence stakeholders to reach consensus. Partner with business leaders to improve employee experience and communicate REWS mission and strategies to executives effectively.
  • Collaborate with APAC workplace services, REWS partners, IT, people operations, program managers, and finance for efficient integration of regional initiatives, fiscal responsibilities, data analysis, new program implementation, and Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) activities.
  • Lead extended workforce Workplace Services and Facilities teams in building operations (repairs, maintenance, HVAC, janitorial) and daily site operations (reception, mail, occupancy planning, moves, Environmental, Health and Safety).
