Strategic Partner Development Manager, Android and Hardware Platform (Mandarin, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in business, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 5 years of experience in a customer-facing, partnership, or account management role, or working in business development.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently to partner with the local and the global team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in managing ongoing partner relationships, advocating for their needs internally, and collaboratively identifying opportunities and resolving issues.
  • Experience in hardware sales and go-to-market strategies, with an understanding of Mobile OEM operations and fundamentals.
  • Ability to interpret legal documents and collaborate effectively with attorneys to draft contractual agreements.
  • Excellent presentation, quantitative and data analysis skills.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager on the Android Platform Partnerships team, you will drive our business and partnerships with hardware partners, including OEM, ODM, SOC, etc. from APAC. You will work closely with Android Product, Engineering, Marketing and Legal teams on new initiatives and key strategic relationships. You will run the process from start to finish. You will be responsible for our partnerships with OEMs, ODMs, and other key players involved in the creation and distribution of Android devices and services.

We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships to establish alignment with OEM partners. Promote Android products and services, align partner priorities, strategies and goals with Android’s to build mutually beneficial business plans and improve participation of their business operations.
  • Understand markets and partner trends, develop connections with key market players to close and execute on projects, develop executive level presentations and documentation.
  • Lead collaboration with internal teams to support partners and leverage resources. Shares overall business plans with key stakeholders. Influence and drive actions with internal teams.
  • Initiate opportunities with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions, build consensus with internal and external stakeholders including C-level, drive complex and strategic first-of-its-kind partnerships.
  • Be the advocate for our Partners. Collaborate closely with internal Product and Engineering teams to develop programs and frameworks to sustain and uplevel strategic partnership.
