- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in either system design or in one programming language (Java, C++, Python, etc.).
- 3 years of experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in systems design, product management, or software engineering roles.
- Experience designing technology solutions to business needs and leading engineers to implement, test, launch, and land those solutions.
- Experience integrating internal systems and defining data architecture for consuming and exposing data from a range of sources to users.
- Experience drawing insights from data sets using SQL to lead both business and technology decisions.
- Experience managing product roadmaps, collaborating cross-functional business and technical teams, and communicating technical concepts to business stakeholders.
About the job
As the Technical Product Lead, you’ll play a key role in building the technology that powers YouTube's partner payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
You will build insights into YouTube's contractual obligations and leverage that understanding to build payment workflows. You'll collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Business Development, fellow Product Leads, and cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life and drive impact. You’ll evaluate and document business needs, scope technical solutions, define product requirements, collaborate on system design, identify risks, launch features every quarter, iterate on new capabilities, and communicate milestones to stakeholders globally.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$174,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Structure and lead the design and development of system capabilities, collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and cross-functional partners to meet business goals using technology.
- Define requirements and lead the team’s efforts towards delivery, ensuring that every release is tested, launched, communicated, and adopted.
- Collect and analyze data to inform strategic decisions, and communicate insights to build consensus across cross-functional teams.
- Execute releases by working with stakeholders to provide comprehensive documentation, training, troubleshooting, and support.
