Silicon Manufacturing Production Planner

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing and semiconductor industry.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
  • 7 years of experience in production planning, strategic sourcing and procurement, ideally in the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience with global sourcing and managing complex supply chains, and maintaining production relationships with foundry and OSAT suppliers.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and techniques to drive capacity needs.
  • Experience with SAP transaction model and B2B implementation.

This is a key cross-functional role that is responsible for product supply success. Using your deep understanding of silicon manufacturing, you will be building solutions partnering with teams inside google and across a broad supplier base.

Using these partnerships, you will be required to create end-to-end silicon manufacturing infrastructure solutions. Your focus will be on the manufacturing of complex HPC compute and AI SoCs. Your knowledge of the full supply chain and integrated data across suppliers is key to building a comprehensive data view that will enable predictable SOC deliveries to internal customers on schedule and at high quality.

This is a challenging cross-functional role that requires proactive problem identification by creating metrics that span the full manufacturing flow from foundry, OSATs, connecting it to board contract manufactures and into data center deployment. You will be working with planning, engineering and commercial teams. You will resolve supply bottlenecks with deep understanding of the OSAT operations, cycle time, yields/test times, capacity loading and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform long-term production planning for SoC products in high volume manufacturing operations across foundry, chip probe, assembly, burn in, final test, system level test to drive capacity and tool availability to meet the demand goal.
  • Monitor day to day inline WIP status to drive MHI/PHI improvement for the readiness of the supply across the manufacturing supply chain.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to facilitate the solutions for excursions to meet the supply goal. Manage the substrate, hardware, and relevant collaterals schedule to be in line with the chips manufacturing progress.
  • Possess attention to detail and accuracy in data entry for forecasting.
  • Use communication and people management skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
