Staff Cloud Solutions Architect, Rapid Innovation

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 9 years of experience in either system design or in one programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.).
  • 8 years of experience as a software development engineer in cloud computing or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) with polygraph.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience managing projects and working with analytics, software coding, or customer-side web technologies.
  • 10 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience designing and deploying with one or more from the following ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, Spark ML, etc.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML related engineering from business use case to algorithm selection, training, tuning, inference, and training pipeline design and build.

About the job

As a Staff Cloud Solutions Architect on the Google Public Sector Rapid Innovation team, you will partner as a full stack software developer with customers and other GCP teams across Google Public Sector and Google Cloud to craft the development of prototypes to architect and demonstrate what is possible with customers via the GCP platform. You will be responsible for taking the experiments developed and translating them into consumable, repeatable, and scalable packages that can be taken to market by the Google Public Sector Go-To-Market (GTM) team.

As the Staff Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for facilitating cross-functionally internally and externally with customers through supporting workshops (e.g., design thinking, solutions workshops) to gather requirements and help build success criteria and a roadmap for sustained adoption of the GCP platform.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with senior cross-functional key stakeholders in customer or partner organizations to deliver or manage quality technical solutions and services.
  • Lead customer-facing solutions workshops to gather requirements that deliver back to the customer a plan of record for the customer to follow.
  • Collaborate with cross-organizational stakeholders and within their respective process life-cycle to provide technical guidance, or identify possible existing/new technical solution offerings to help shape outcomes.
  • Develop architectures that include cross-platform technologies to be incorporated into subscription agreements, and take a mission-oriented approach using the guiding principles of simplicity, repeatability, and consumability.
