Partner Engineer, Security, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud architecture in a partner-facing or support role.
  • Experience in participating and presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Experience designing and building architectures and migrating workloads to cloud environments.
  • Experience in working with technologies or solutions related to the cybersecurity industry.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in building business partnerships with partners and customers in an architecture or solution delivery role.
  • Experience with virtualization or containerization platforms and migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Google Cloud solutions, as well as cybersecurity solutions and concepts.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, and working cross-functionally in a collaborative and changing environment.
  • Experience conducting partner Chief Technical Officer (CTO) engagements with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with networking and security concepts.

About the job

In this role, you will work with Partner Development Managers and Partner Engineers to grow and support the Google Cloud security partner ecosystem. You will understand the technical solutions and capabilities of our partners and are in the position to recommend the right partner to our customers. You will lead the cybersecurity focused efforts to enable partners with technical knowledge in technologies and solutions. You will contribute to customer adoption of Google Cloud by supporting partners as they illustrate how Google Cloud security solutions can help customers innovate, bring their services to market faster, differentiate from participants, and create new business growth streams. You will help partners succeed in the proof of concept, data migration, application migration, and deployment phase, ensuring they have full access to Google Cloud’s artifacts, tools, templates, and best practices.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Responsibilities

  • Enable partners in prototyping and demonstrating product integrations and guiding customers through assessments of their existing application environments. Support partners developing solutions, ensuring the best use of Google Cloud.
  • Recommend and review integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to implement complete solutions on Google Cloud.
  • Work with Partner Managers and Partner Engineers to identify and recruit partners in the market that can deliver complete solutions to our customers. Onboard partners to the marketplace and empower them to motivate successful pilots, proofs of concept, and production workloads.
  • Build technical assets, collaborate with partners to develop Google Cloud-specific solution documentation, joint technical articles, webinars, whitepapers.
  • Scale customer wins through partners by promoting the partner with account teams and developing relationships.
