Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with software development (e.g. Java).
  • Experience with data structures and algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Ability to work independently on ambiguous problems.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

About the job

In this role, you will contribute to designing and building intelligent, automated identity verification workflows. You will gain experience integrating the platform with Google products and external vendors while engineering solutions to meet various international regulations. You will work with technical leads and address complex technical challenges at the heart of digital trust and safety. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on Google's ability to operate safely and grow worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Mange full stack/backend/server-side software development (Java primarily).
  • Collaborate with the team producing design and implementation of technical solutions.
  • Engage with a full cross-functional team such as Payments Product Managers, Program Managers, and UX.
  • Deliver end-to-end solutions, supporting teams throughout Google.
  • Provide release and production support for Payments systems.
