Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy, the Trust & Safety team is on the frontlines of enhancing the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world.

As a Policy Enforcement Manager (PEM) dedicated to the YouTube Partner Program on YouTube's Trust and Safety team, you will help implement and enforce policies across channels. You will work cross-functionally across Scaled Abuse, Ads Policy, Business Generation, Product, and Policy Development to develop and operationalize policies that minimize brand risk to the platform and are scalable and clearly communicated to creators. You will review graphic, controversial, and offensive video content in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Review content daily in line with YouTube's partner program (YPP) policies, including exposure to graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive content.
  • Manage policy enforcement escalations and develop new enforcement guidelines for YPP, deliver training to reviewers and provide enforcement advice on grey policy areas, and support YPP workflows including tooling improvements and scaled workflow optimization. 
  • Support the launch of new or updated enforcement process solutions across multiple teams, keep the creator in mind, and ensure workflows reflect policy guidelines.
  • Work with global vendors to enforce sensitive policies and ensure high quality, and work non-standard, on-call rotation weekend and holiday hours.
  • Manage escalations ensuring high quality enforcement and clear communication with cross-functional stakeholders.
