Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program or project management.
- Experience in delivering technical programs.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

To succeed here, you'll combine creativity with organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines simultaneously, as well as enjoy pitching to journalists, bloggers and commentators, or producing internal communications and events for our employees. Things happen quickly at Google and to get stuff done here you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally and isn't hesitant to take risks or try new things.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional, high priority programs from inception to launch, managing dependencies and risks across multiple sub-projects.
- Define and refine technical requirements, scope, and success metrics for projects.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies within and across teams to enhance productivity and scalability.
- Communicate program status, challenges, and solutions effectively to all stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Facilitate regular planning exercises and help drive process improvements.
