Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience programming in Python.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience in a technical leadership role.

As a Software Engineer on the team, you will take end-to-end ownership of developing novel educational experiences, from conceptualization to implementation to launch.Google Research is building the next generation of intelligent systems for all Google products. To achieve this, we’re working on projects that utilize the latest computer science techniques developed by skilled software developers and research scientists. Responsibilities
- Develop in-house Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning (AI/ML) technologies including developing data sets, conducting evaluations and experiments, and making model improvements.
- Work closely with other research groups within and outside Google on collaborative research efforts.
- Work cross-functionally with product managers, User Experience (UX), program managers to identify research areas and deliver ML solutions.
- Develop infrastructure needed to support model development and serving.
